What is Virtuous?
Virtuous is a robust donor management software that will take the place of Salesforce for receipting donations, processing online giving and reporting to field staff.
Why are you replacing Salesforce?
We want to ensure we’re using the best tool possible for field staff to track their donation information, as well as functioning at the highest capacity for donors. Virtuous will bring a stronger user experience than Salesforce has been able to provide. This update was not a decision our executive team made lightly. Due to continuing challenges with our online platform, we needed to look for an upgraded processor to better fit our needs.
What will I need to do?
Our team will be reaching out in the weeks ahead with directions for gaining access and training you on Virtuous. For now, you can continue to use Salesforce as usual.
What will recurring donors need to do?
Online giving will move from our current processor, BlueFire, to Virtuous Giving. While our hope is to have all donations processing through Virtuous as soon as possible, BlueFire will continue to process monthly donations without interruption. We will send notification to monthly donors with instructions to change their giving over to Virtuous once all websites are updated. For now, you do not need to communicate anything to your donors.
Will my direct donation link change?
No. While the look of the page will change, the actual URL for your direct donation link will not change.
When will the changes take place?
Exact timelines are still in progress, but our goal is late Summer/early Fall for full release.
Will I still have access to Salesforce and for how long?
We will run dual systems for several weeks to ensure all data is accurate and available to you. Once Virtuous is live it will become our primary donation processor. While you will still have access to Salesforce, donation information will no longer be updated within Salesforce once Virtuous becomes our primary processor. At that point, you’ll need to refer to Virtuous for donation reporting.
Will there be training on how to use Virtuous?
Yes, as we finalize the setup of Virtuous, we will send training tools to help you navigate the new site.
Does Virtuous connect to TNTware or MPDX?
We hope to have more information on this feature in Virtuous closer or soon after rolling out access for all staff.
